Ranikhet Trip

Welcome !

Last summer i spent my vacations in the beautiful hill-station Ranikhet which is located in Almora district in the state of Uttarakhand. Located at an altitude of 1869 metres above sea level, it offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Also being a cantonment town it is the home to the Kumaon Regiment and Naga Regiment. The place being well connected by rail and road can be easily accessed. The best period to visit it is during the months of May-Oct.

Ranikhet is rich in varied fauna. With lush green forests of Pine, Oak and Deodar, the place can be regarded as a perfect meditative spot. Though during my visit i was able to capture only a faint view of the Himalayas, the actual view is considered to be one of the best ones as it offers a clear view of many peaks including that of Nanda Devi.

In total Ranikhet is an ideal destination for nature lovers, adventures and a person seeking peace of mind.
